Budget? What budget?

Weeelllll I'm going to Hawaii for a physics conference! Woo hoo! And I might be getting a much newer car soon!

While these two things are good, they have created a money problem. I had to pay for the plane ticket to Hawaii ahead of time and I will get refunded some time in September. The car is either $3500 or $4000 depending on whether the owner fixes some superficial dents on it before I buy it (I'm hoping he doesnt. And it will still be a major upgrade from my current car, trust me.) The plan so far is to try to get a loan from the bank for this amount, and to pay most of it off ASAP.

I made myself a budget to figure out how I'm going to get through the next 6 months or so without doing anything seriously bad to my bank account. For the past few days I've been sticking to it, but...

I finally sent someone at Saint Tattoo in Knoxville an email about my idea for the tattoo a few weeks before the car/Hawaii stuff went down. The guy recently replied and sent me an awesome sketch for the design. However, now I don't have much money to spare! Hopefully I can work things out and be somewhat intelligent in my decision-making even though I want this tattoo so badly at this point that all pens and pointy objects are to be kept at a distance from me. Well I exaggerate somewhat. Only somewhat.
